About Me - Your photographer Mimi Gamez

I'm thrilled to share a little more about myself and the various passions that drive me. My name is Mimi Gamez, and I lead a multifaceted life that encompasses the creative realm of photography and other creative outlets.

I am happily married with a wonderful pre-teen daughter. I find immense inspiration in the beauty of family and the joy they bring to my life. Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine, enabling me to capture the essence of precious moments and preserve memories for generations to come.

My Christian faith plays a central role in my life, providing me with strength, guidance, and inspiration in all that I do. Living by the verse that says, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13), I draw upon the limitless well of strength and inspiration that comes from my relationship with God. It is this steadfast belief that empowers me to push boundaries, overcome obstacles, and continually strive for excellence in both my personal and professional endeavors. 

In September 2022, I achieved a significant milestone by obtaining my Certified Professional Photographer certification, solidifying my expertise and dedication in the art of photography. I believe in harnessing the power of visuals to evoke emotions and tell captivating stories through my lens. My aim is to bring out the best in people, capturing their authenticity and unique narratives.

However, my interests extend beyond photography. In the world of technology, I am also a software developer. With my CompTIA Security+ certification, I possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity and a deep understanding of protecting digital assets. The ever-evolving landscape of technology excites me, and I'm committed to staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the field.

When I'm not behind the camera, I find solace in my daily yoga routines, which not only nourish my mind and body but also enhance my creative perspective. Additionally, I indulge in the art of silversmithing and Metal Clay crafting silver jewelry pieces adorned with semi-precious stones. This process of transforming raw materials into tangible beauty mirrors my approach to photography, where I strive to reveal the hidden beauty in the world around us.

In the realm of culinary arts, I have been recognized for my baking skills. My creations have been featured in Food Network Magazine, and my wedding cakes have graced the pages of esteemed wedding publications. The art of baking allows me to infuse my creativity into delectable masterpieces, complementing my love for capturing visual beauty through photography.

My Christian values guide me in approaching my work with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to serving others.  As a photographer, I utilize my understanding of technology to enhance and refine the visual stories I tell.
